IV-1 Interactive Video Activity (20 points)
The exam movie shows an object moving in uniform circular motion.
This movie is in the Movies & Graphics Folder entitled "Exam 3 Movie."
The original film was taken at 24 frames/second.
Warning: The digital movie may have added or deleted frames from the
original film! Use the frame number showing on the screen to determine
the time of each image you use for your analysis.
Enter the frame number into your Word file for each data point coordinates
you click on, so you can easily convert to the proper time base for your
graphs. You may find it easiest to export all of the data into Excel for
analysis
Hint: Take data about every 6th frame, about 1/4th of a second. You need
about 40 data points.
For scaling: The diameter of the circle shown on the screen is 1.0 meters.
1. Use your data to construct graphs of the x and y position of the object as a
function of time.
Paste your graphs in your document.
2. From your graphs determine the amplitude, frequency, and phase angle of
the x and y motions.
Write the functions for these motions
x (t) = ?
