Derive an expression and solve one problem and find an equivalent
problem on the InfoMall, and print it out to hand in on Tuesday, February
10th, at the beginning of class.

1. (4 pts) Give the expression for conservation of momentum of a system and
explain the terms.
Under what conditions is this expression correct? If you rely on a reference,
give its citation.

2. (3 pts) A 1200-kg car is moving east at 30.0m/s and collides with a 2400-kg truck
initially moving at 20.0m/s in a direction 60o north of east. The vehicles
interlock and move off together. Find their final velocity.

3. (3 pts) (a) List the concepts you used to solve problem 2.
(b) Find a problem on the InfoMall that requires the same concepts for its solution.
Print it and give the citation for it.
(c) Work out the solution to the problem you found on the InfoMall

InfoMall. The least you can do is check your copy and paste from the
InfoMall and correct the fonts. Hint: most of the "bad" fonts can be
