Study free body diagrams, and complete the following tasks to hand in on Tuesday,
January 27th, at the beginning of class:

From Newton's Second Law you know that the acceleration of an object is
determined from the unbalanced, or net, forces acting on it. So a first step in solving
any dynamics problem is to figure out what forces are actually acting on an object.
One technique for doing this is to draw a free-body diagram and label all of the forces
acting on an object.
