The textbooks included in the Troverepresent the views of more than 20
authors and about three different levels of textbooks. If we list them in terms of
increasing level of mathematics, they can be listed as below:

Conceptual Level Textbooks

Algebra-based Textbooks

Calculus-based Textbooks and Special Topics

• Pick ONE of the different concepts that we studied in class on Tuesday,
  displacement, or velocity, or acceleration,and find information about that concept
  in twodifferent textbooks in eachlevel listed above.

• Put a Note mark in each textbook at the location of the text that you find helpful
  in learning the concept you have chosen. This means you will need to make six
  notes.

• Now use the note markers to scan through the six selections again and pick one
  selection from each level of textbook.

(a) (2 pts) Give the exact citation for each selection.

(b) (2 pts) Cut and paste into your word processor a sentence or two from each your
three selections.

(c) (3 pts) Write a paragraph that compares and contrasts the three selections.

(d) (3 pts) Finally, write a summary paragraph explaining which one of the three
selections helps you to best understand the concept you picked and explain why you
think that selection is best for you for the concept you picked.

Print out a copy of your work, with your name on it, of course, and hand it in at the
beginning of class on Thursday.
