C1 Start the EM Field application software. Set it up so that you can place
3D point charges constrained to a grid.

If you place multiple charges at the same position, then the software will add
up the total charge. For example, if you put two -8 charges on top of each other,
then that would be a total charge of -16 at that position.

Select two grid positions in the middle of the screen which are separated with
one grid position in the middle. On one, place a large (between 35 and 50)
positive charge and on the other place the identical amount of negative charge.
You have now created an electric dipole.

Using the EM Field software, investigate the equipotentials and electric field
vectors surrounding this electric dipole. How do these quantities vary with
distance from the dipole? Write a report that describes your findings. Your
descriptions should be both quantitative and/or qualitative. Your description
should include no more than two graphical images.
