different kinds of physics from different authors. Beginning students do not know that. They think what is written in the textbook is the only way to explain the physics. We developed the series of tasks that try to get the students to realize there are many different ways of writing about the same physics idea.

students are thinking about what they are reading in physics and then picking the one they like the best. The last part of the assignment is write an explanation of what you read from these books and select the one that makes the most sense to you and explain why you selected it. This is one example of what you can do with a large, electronic database that you cannot do with one textbook.
