Class Introduction

Things for students to do before the next class:

  1. Read the syllabus. Purchase the course materials.
  2. Preview Lecture 1.1 -- Scale and Contents of the Universe. The login to the Breeze system is "Astronomy103" and the password is "Rigel12".
  3. Register with the course’s EDU site.
  4. Take the Preflight for Lecture 1.1.
  5. Try EDU Practice Assignment 1.1. This can be done after class.
  6. Preview Strobel’s Scale Notes. Think about how to make this resource useful for the class.
