Dr. Diandra Leslie-Pelecky's research group in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln studies nanostructured magnetic materials, striving to understand their fundamental properties, as well as potential applications such as MRI contrast agents, drug delivery and hyperthermia for cancer treatment. We use a variety of fabrication techniques, including mechanical attrition (milling or alloying), cluster deposition, and cluster deposition into fluids to produce materials with the appropriate cluster size and size distribution.
