"My research advisor at UNL treated me as a professional from the beginning. He always respected his students' opinions and treated us as scientists, not as subordinates. This type of interaction was critical for developing the skills necessary to function as an independent researcher as well as in a collaborative setting."

University of Nebraska – Lincoln Graduate Students have global experiences to prepare them for the future."I was fortunate to be given the opportunity to attend a conference and present my research at Cambridge University. I think the opportunity to present your research at an international conference, as well as travel to a foreign country was an invaluable experience.
